What is a Functional Nutrition Counselor (CFNC)?

Certified Functional Nutrition Counselors are trained in the art of searching for the root cause of symptoms. They study how all body systems impact each other, rather than being independent of each other. They work closely with clients one-on-one to create a personalized, holistic plans that integrate nutrition and lifestyle changes. They can recommend taking certain supplements, and help you reach your individual health goals.

What makes your services different from a health coach or other functional practitioners?

Functional Nutrition Counselors are taught specifically about anatomy and physiology of the human body, and how all systems in the body are connected. Instead of targeting a specific symptom or isolated body system, CFNCs aim to look at the whole picture and determine what root causes are creating symptoms for each individual. They then create personalized nutrition plans that take this into account, and are not simply "one-size-fits-all", like other medical recommendations.
